It looked for a little while as if Landwehr would pull the upset. In typical Nate fashion, he started slowly but was able to handle everything Charriere threw his way until he was able to get back in the fight. Landwehr was upwards of a -300 betting favorite on the live line entering Round 3, but Charriere blitzed him with a huge combination moments after the bell rang, and Nate crumbled for good after eating about a half-dozen massive blows. Now 37 years old, Landwehr has lost three of four dating back to June 2023. He probably needs a win his next time out to extend his time with the company. On the bright side, he'll go home with an extra $50,000 after this back-and-forth affair was awarded Fight of the Night honors.

Landwehr is at his best in a wild brawl, but he was unable to generate any offense because Choi was in firm control the entire way. Nate got beaten up on the feet in the early going and dominated on the mat late. Losing is one thing, but the complete lack of competitiveness is another. Nate is by no means a title contender, so he needs to put on highly entertaining bouts in order to have value to the company. This was not that.
