Filho defeated Clayton Carpenter via submission (kimura) at 4:42 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Filho has had inconsistent results over the course of his UFC run, but he's also proven time and time again that he's supremely dangerous on the mat. This was the latest example. Filho appeared to be in very poor position with Carpenter on top of him, but Filho immediately isolated an arm, flipped his opponent over, and eventually earned the stoppage.
