Miranda lost to Jamall Emmers via TKO (strikes) at 4:06 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
Miranda deserves credit for recognizing that his only path to victory was to try and submit Emmers. He landed two takedowns early on in search of accomplishing that goal, but once Emmers was able to get back to his feet for good, the Brazilian was finished. Miranda not only has zero power in his hands, but he carries his chin high and does a woeful job of evading incoming blows. Now 35 years old, Miranda has made four UFC appearances, suffering three knockout defeats in addition to a submission win. The company could easily decide to move on.

Miranda will take on Jamall Emmers in a flyweight bout at UFC Mexico on March 29, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Miranda took a loss in his last bout, dropping his UFC record to 1-2 after falling to Morgan Charriere via left hook in the second round of a fight back in September. The flyweight's opponent Emmers is also coming off a loss, so both fighters will be looking to bounce back. Miranda, a year younger than Emmers, stands an inch taller at 5-foot-11 but gives up three inches of reach.
Smashed by Morgan Charriere
LightweightUFC
September 28, 2024
Miranda lost to Morgan Charriere via KO (punch) at 0:27 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.
ANALYSIS
Entering as a +450 underdog, Miranda looked great prior to the stoppage. He landed a pair of Round 1 takedowns and deserved to win the frame. Then the bell rang for Round 2 and one massive left hand from Charriere put him out in an instant. This was a tough spot for Miranda in a fight which came together less than a month ago against a legitimate opponent. Having alternated losses and wins in his first two UFC bouts, the Brazilian may need a win next time out to extend his time with the company.
Late addition to UFC Paris
LightweightUFC
September 8, 2024
Miranda (undisclosed) will now take on Morgan Charriere at UFC Paris on September 28, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Miranda got in the win column with the company all the way back in September of 2023 with a first-round submission of a heavy Shane Young, but the Brazilian was forced to withdraw from his follow-up opportunity against Billy Quarantillo in March for an undisclosed reason. With that issue seemingly in the past, he'll now head into enemy territory to face the Frenchman Charriere, who recently lost his originally-scheduled opponent AJ Cunningham (undisclosed). Miranda will hold height and reach advantages against Charriere, who is 1-1 with the company.

Miranda is out of his UFC Vegas 89 fight against Billy Quarantillo, according to Nolan King of USA Today.
ANALYSIS
An undisclosed problem will prevent Miranda from fighting Quarantillo in just under three weeks' time at UFC Vegas 89. Without any specification as to what the former is dealing with, it is unclear when he will fight again.
Scheduled against Quarantillo
LightweightUFC
January 21, 2024
Miranda is scheduled to compete against Billy Quarantillo in a featherweight fight at UFC Vegas 89 on March 23, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Miranda only fought once during 2023, but it was a good fight. On enemy territory in Sydney, he forced Australian featherweight Shane Young to tap out in their catchweight bout.
