SLATE PREVIEW

Many teams are on their bye week following the All-Star break, so we only have two games lined up. There's an Atlantic Division showdown between two teams outside of the playoffs -- the Senators (17-23-9) and Sabres (22-20-7) -- and a Western Conference matchup between the Blues (30-11-8) and Flames (26-18-5).

GOALIES

Jordan Binnington ($8,800) will get the nod on the second half of back-to-back games. He was yanked after his last start before the All-Star break, but he bounces back well. The Flames have had a sluggish month, as they've posted 2.16 GF/60 even strength in January, per Natural Stat Trick.

Binnington will likely be facing off against the same goalie he squared off against at the All-Star Game. David Rittich ($7,600) had a few shaky outings before the break, but he often comes up clutch and sports a .913 save percentage this year. The Blues present a tough task, however, as they rank fourth with a season-long 25.3 power-play percentage and eighth with a 3.13 GF/60 in January.

Craig Anderson ($7,000) has had a brutal month with a 4.97 GAA and four straight losses. There's clearly high risk involved, but he holds value as a contrarian play considering how poorly the Sabres have played of late -- they've recorded just 1.96 GF/60 in January (24th).

Linus Ullmark ($8,100) has won five of his last six starts and recorded a .932 save percentage in the process. The Sens are just a tick below Buffalo in January at 1.95 GA/60, but he's the chalk in the home matchup.

VALUE PLAYS/ONE-OFFS

Jeff Skinner ($6,400) will play in his first game in over a month. He's endured steep regression this year, but he still averages over three shots per game and works on the power play.

Connor Brown ($5,000) has seven points (three goals, four assists) over the last four games, with two coming on the power play. Buffalo's penalty kill ranks 26th in the league at 75.3 percent.

Jordan Kyrou ($3,200) has been a healthy scratch for the last four games, but he's back in the fold on the top line. The 21-year-old has four points through 13 games, and working alongside Brayden Schenn only ups his ceiling.

FORWARD LINE STACKS

Buffalo Sabres (TOTAL: $19,100)

C - Jack Eichel ($19,100)
W - Zemgus Girgensons ($3,600)
W - Sam Reinhart ($5,400)

Eichel has achieved a career high of 28 goals through 48 games, and Reinhart stays in the mix with 41 points so far. Girgensons is more of a placeholder but has offensive upside, and this stack can reach its ceiling because of poorly Anderson has played lately (and this season for that matter).

St. Louis Blues (TOTAL: $18,600)

C - Ryan O'Reilly ($7,200)
W - David Perron ($7,600)
W - Zach Sanford ($3,800)

O'Reilly and Perron both boast point-per-game paces on the road this season, and Sanford has contributed two two-point outings over the week leading up to the break. The two All-Stars both work on the power play, too, and they'll utilize that against the Flames' penalty kill which has allowed 10.52 G/50 in January -- the fifth-most in the league.

Calgary Flames (TOTAL: $18,400)

C - Derek Ryan ($3,600)
C - Sean Monahan ($6,900)
W - Johnny Gaudreau ($7,900)

Two centers can shake up your lineup, but Ryan is heating and comes at a major value. He's posted six points over the last nine games, and now he'll get a shot in the top six. We know Gaudreau and Monahan can pull their weight, and the Blues' penalty kill isn't anything to call home about, allowing 9.54 G/60 over the last month -- ninth-most in the league.

DEFENSE

Alex Pietrangelo ($6,700) is the most expensive by a long shot, and he's enjoying an excellent month. The blueliner has four multi-point outings over eight games, and he averages 3.1 shots on net per contest.

Rasmus Dahlin ($5,400) has been streaky this year, and we're catching him at a good time. He's piled up seven points in as many games, and he's shooting with a purpose during the stretch (19 shots).

Vince Dunn ($3,800) is far less productive, but he toils with the man advantage as well. Six of his 14 points have come on the power play, and he'll look to get back on track here.

Noah Hanifin ($4,700) blocks enough shots to remain fantasy relevant, and he's accrued five points over the last 10 games. The 23-year-old will look to leverage his power-play minutes against the Blues' faulty penalty kill, as well.
