NHL Betting Overview Tuesday Night Key Odds Insights
New Jersey Devils
at Tampa Bay Lightning
The Devils (13-4-1) and Lightning (9-7-2) meet at Amalie Arena at 7 p.m. ET, and again, this game is available on NHL Network.
These teams are meeting in Tampa for the second time this season, as New Jersey picked up a 5-3 win on Oct. 11 as moderate underdogs (+135) as the Over (6) cashed.
Timo Meier, Connor Brown and Nico Hischier picked up first-period goals in a blitzkrieg against Andrei Vasilevskiy, who ended up conceding five goals on 31 shots. Tampa Bay did slice the lead to 3-2, as Yanni Gourde and Ryan McDonagh had goals in the second period, with Max Crozier posting assists on both of those goals.
In the third period, though, Jesper Bratt had a shorthanded goal, while Brown was back with his second goal of the game. Darren Raddysh had a late goal, but it wasn't close to enough.
Vasilevskiy (6-5-2, 2.77 GAA, .896 save percentage) is expected to go for the home side, while Jacob Markstrom (5-2-1, 3.67 GAA, .870 save percentage) is projected to go for the visitors.
New Jersey have posted a 4-0-1 record in the past five games, with the games going to overtime or a shootout in each of those outings, while the Under is 3-1 in the previous four outings.
Tampa suffered a 6-2 loss against the Vancouver Canucks on home ice Sunday, while going 3-3-0 in the past six outings. The Over and Under have alternated in the past six games, too.
The Devils are a little pricey on the puck line, but with five straight games unable to be decided in regulation, it's a solid play. And, let's go Under on the total, but go lightly.
- Devils +1.5 (-170 at BetMGM)
- Under 6 Goals (-110 at BetMGM, Caesars Sportsbooks)

Calgary Flames
at Chicago Blackhawks
The Flames (5-12-3) and the Blackhawks (9-5-4) drop the puck at United Center at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
Chicago picked up a 4-0 win at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Nov. 7, cashing as moderate underdogs (+130) as the Under (5.5) cashed. Spencer Knight kicked aside all 33 shots he faced for the shutout, while Dustin Wolf coughed up four goals on 27 shots.
On offense, it was all about Connor Bedard, who factored in on all four goals in that victory, going for a goal and three assists. Tyler Bertuzzi went for two goals and a plus-3 rating, while Andre Burakovsky added a goal and an assist.
The Flames have really struggled offensively, going 1-3-1 in the past five outings, netting just seven goals in the span, or 1.4 goals per game (GPG). They've also allowed 15 goals in the past seven games, or 2.2 GPG. The Under, to no one's surprise, is 5-1-1 in the past seven outings.
Chicago is 4-0-1 in the past five games, going 5-0 on the puckline as an underdog in the span. Knight is expected to be back in the crease for this one. The Under is 9-4 in Knight's 13 games this season.
It's all about the Under in this one. That should be your strongest play, and that's also the best two-leg parlay with the Under in New Jersey-Tampa Bay. And, in a pick 'em, Chicago is the way to go.
