ANALYSIS
The running back spent time on the Jets' and Saints' practice squads last season and stuck with New Orleans through June, when he was waived. Valladay has never played on an offensive snap in his career and last appeared in an NFL game in 2023 with the Jets. The Minnesota running back depth chart is led by veteran Aaron Jones and free-agent signing Jordan Mason, but it does thin out after that, perhaps giving Valladay a fighting chance of earning a roster spot.

Valladay spent most of last season on the Jets' practice squad and will be fighting an uphill battle to make the team out of training camp with a plethora of young running backs ahead of him on the depth chart. The Jets have three recent draft picks vying for spots behind third-year starter Breece Hall in 2023 fifth-round draft pick Israel Abanikanda, 2024 fourth-rounder Braelon Allen and 2024 fifth-rounder Isaiah Davis. Valladay, who will be 26 when the 2024 NFL season kicks off, has yet to record a regular-season carry or catch.
