Splits reps with Rudolph
Levis completed nine of 17 passes for 175 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions in Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Texans. He added four rushes for eight yards while losing a fumble.
ANALYSIS
Levis appeared in a game for the first time since Week 15 and led seven of the team's 10 offensive possessions. His statistical output was relatively strong, though the Texans played without several of their key defensive players, and 144 of his 175 yards came in the fourth quarter with the Titans down multiple scores. Levis had a rocky second season as a pro, totaling 13 touchdowns while turning the ball over 17 times. With Tennessee in line to pick first overall, it would come as a significant surprise if he is atop the depth chart entering training camp in 2025.

2023
The 33rd pick in last year’s draft, Levis began the season as the No. 3 QB in Tennessee, only to take the starting job Week 8 when Ryan Tannehill was injured. Levis threw four TD passes in his first start … and four more in his remaining eight games. The accuracy concerns that sank his draft stock proved real -- he finished last in the league in on-target (64.7) and completion (58.4) percentages. Part of the issue was over-reliance on his top-tier arm. No one threw deep at a higher rate than Levis, who sent 19.6 percent of his attempts beyond 20 yards downfield. His 10.6-yard average target depth also led the league, easily. Levis likely will throw more short passes and improve his completion percentage this season. The other issue -- one that’s harder to fix -- is a lack of touch. Levis has one of the best fastballs in the league, but that’s all he has. He’s less adept at lofting the ball or taking something off when needed. Still, he should be helped by significant upgrades at wide receiver after the Titans signed wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd to join DeAndre Hopkins. RB Derrick Henry is gone, replaced by Tony Pollard, which could also work in Levis’ favor in the likely event new coach Brian Callahan is less reliant on the running game than the previous regime.

Team not set on keeping top pick
Levis may not necessarily receive competition from a first-round rookie quarterback this summer, as Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi indicated that the team will be open to trading the top overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Borgonzi noted in his introductory news conference Wednesday that draft picks are "our biggest form of currency," adding that "when there's opportunities to trade back and collect more picks, we're going to do that." The first overall selection offers Borgonzi a chance to add multiple quality picks in a trade, and such a development would likely buy the erratic Levis a bit more time to make a case to be Tennessee's long-term answer at quarterback.
