2024 Fantasy Outlook
Conklin finished each of the past three seasons with exactly 87 targets, catching 58-to-61 passes for 552-to-621 yards. His 621 yards last season were a career high, yet he failed to find the end zone even once (and has just seven career TDs among 212 catches). The 29-year-old should hit paydirt at least a couple of times this season, presumably benefiting from better quarterback play after catching passes from Zach Wilson for most of the past two seasons. The upgrade from Wilson to Aaron Rodgers, though delayed by a year, seemingly overshadows the possibility of targets being siphoned away by veteran WR signing Mike Williams and/or third-round pick Malachi Corley. The bigger threat might be third-year TE Jeremy Ruckert, who is unlikely to play enough snaps to establish his own fantasy value but might get enough to take a chunk out of Conklin's. While Ruckert didn't do much his first year and a half in the league, he had five straight games with at least 22 snaps and two targets in Weeks 11-15 last year before a Week 16 concussion ended his season. Four catches in Week 4 loss
Conklin caught four of eight targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 10-9 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
After leading the Jets with 93 receiving yards in a 24-3 win against the Patriots the week before, Conklin crashed back down to earth despite tying Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard for the team lead in targets against the Broncos. Conklin didn't catch either of his two first-half targets and had a 12-yard catch in the third quarter nullified by a penalty, but he chipped in a few short catches after that point to at least salvage a passable PPR performance. Conklin and the Jets will try to bounce back against the Vikings in a Week 5 trip to London.

Conklin finished second on the Jets in targets (87), catches (58), receiving yards (552) and touchdowns (three) in 2022. He played over 70 percent of the team's snaps 14 times, slotting in ahead of C.J. Uzomah and rookie third-rounder Jeremy Ruckert on the team's tight end depth chart. Ruckert could command a larger role this season, and Conklin will have more competition for targets after the Jets signed wide receivers Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman, but New York's passing game is also expected to be more effective with Aaron Rodgers under center. Conklin's one of only seven tight ends to top 550 yards in each of the past two seasons, and Rodgers could help Conklin clear his previous high of three TDs.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Has chemistry with Rodgers in OTAs
Conklin's chemistry with Aaron Rodgers stood out during OTAs, according to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Rodgers made headlines for missing mandatory minicamp practices due to a trip, but he was present for the preceding voluntary practices. During those practices, Garrett Wilson and Conklin were the favorite targets of the veteran quarterback. Conklin finished second on the team behind Wilson with 621 receiving yards in 2023, and the reliable tight end could be poised for an even more productive season in 2024 if his connection with Rodgers in practice carries over into games.
