Rest-of-Season Projections
Inks new deal with Detroit
The Lions signed Kennedy to a reserve/future contract Monday.
ANALYSIS
The Bryant product will remain in Detroit after spending his 2024 campaign between the Lions' practice squad and active roster. Kennedy appeared in four regular-season games for the Lions this season, failing to haul in his only target while also tallying 167 kick-return yards and nine punt-return yards. He's likely to compete for a reserve role in the Lions' wide receiver corps throughout the offseason.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Best practice squad player?
Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports ranks Kennedy as the best player currently on an NFL practice squad.
ANALYSIS
Kennedy doesn't have much of a pedigree because he's a 26-year-old former undrafted free agent out of Bryant, but he was highly productive during the preseason, racking up 16 catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Trapasso believes Kennedy would find success lining up in the slot along with Amon-Ra St. Brown for the Lions, but another team also could sign Kennedy off Detroit's practice squad at any time should an opening present itself.
