2024 Fantasy Outlook
Hudson appeared in only 12 games last season but still wound up leading all Bengals tight ends in targets (50), catches (39) and receiving yards (352). While the 29-year-old tight end was a nice story in 2023, Hudson had just 199 career receiving yards heading into the season and began the year on Cincinnati’s practice squad before being promoted due to poor play from the team’s alternative options at the position. The Bengals signed Mike Gesicki in the offseason, and Gesicki figures to beat out Hudson for opportunities in passing situations, while Drew Sample’s a better blocker than either of them. If Gesicki underperforms like the Bengals’ tight ends did last season, Hudson could get another chance to step up. Read Past Outlooks
Gets few snaps in return
Hudson (knee) failed to draw a target while playing four of the Bengals' 53 snaps on offense in Sunday's 17-7 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Hudson had been inactive for each of the Bengals' previous four games while he managed a knee injury, but he was removed from Cincinnati's injury report for Week 6 and made his return from a month-long absence Sunday. He was one of four tight ends that the Bengals made active Sunday and finished well behind Drew Sample (26 snaps), Erick All (23 snaps) and Mike Gesicki (19 snaps) in terms of playing time.

Joins weak Bengals TE room
Hudson was signed to Cincinnati's active roster off the practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Hudson has a chance to become the top pass-catching tight end for Joe Burrow, as Irv Smith has struggled this season and lost a fumble in Cincinnati's Week 8 win over San Francisco. The Bengals elevated Hudson from the practice squad Weeks 3 and 4 while Smith dealt with a hamstring injury, and Hudson's 30 receiving yards in Week 3 are more than Smith has had in any game this season.
