26-Year-Old Tight EndTE
Los Angeles Chargers
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Smartt played nearly 300 offensive snaps last year filling in at times for an injured Gerald Everett or Donald Parham, but the 25-year-old was used primarily as a run blocker in two tight-end sets. Smartt might have a difficult time making the final roster given the Chargers signed Will Dissly and Hayden Hurst during the offseason while retaining the intriguing 6-8 Parham. Read Past Outlooks

Ready for Sunday night
TELos Angeles Chargers
November 15, 2024
Smartt (ankle) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Smartt was sidelined for each of the Chargers' last two games due to an ankle injury likely sustained in the Week 8 win over the Saints. However, he practiced in full Friday and is now in line to return to the field Sunday. Expect Smartt to serve as a depth piece in the Chargers' tight end room in Week 11, playing behind both Hayden Hurst and Will Dissly.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
An undrafted free agent last season, Smartt wound up recording 74 offensive snaps across seven contests mainly chipping in as an extra blocker in multiple tight-end personnel. The 6-foot-4 target is undersized (226 pounds) for a tight end and could be on the chopping block for one of the team's final roster spots.
