Moving well
Williams (knee) appears "close to a full return" after moving well during OTAs on Thursday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
The defensive end tore his ACL and MCL during training camp last August and did not play in 2024. While he was only participating with a rehab group Thursday, he seems like he should be ready for this year's training camp. Williams, a 2022 second-round pick, has yet to start a game in his NFL career, though he did play in 35 contests between the regular season and playoffs over his first two seasons, recording 48 total tackles (30 solo), including 8.5 sacks.

A second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Williams could prove to be a steal. The Ole Miss product collected four sacks in only 264 snaps as a rookie and was able to stand out as a consistent threat to get to the quarterback. He'll need to improve against the run if he wants to challenge DeMarcus Lawrence for a starting spot, but Williams is on track to emerge as a key part of the Cowboys' Micah Parsons-led pass rush this season.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Expected to take step forward
Williams could be Dallas' second-most productive pass rusher in 2025, Jon Machota of The Athletic suggests.
ANALYSIS
Williams was projected to take a step forward in 2024, but he tore his ACL during training camp and never took a snap during the regular season. He was reportedly moving well during offseason practices and looks likely to be ready for Week 1 of the 2025 campaign, making him a potential post-hype breakout candidate. On the other hand, the Cowboys have a lot of depth on the edge, including 2025 second-round pick Donovan Ezeiruaku, so Williams may not immediately have a significant role.
