2024 Fantasy Outlook
Parsons set a new career high with 14.0 sacks last year, but he's been arguably the most consistent pass rusher in the NFL since being drafted 12th overall in 2021, producing 13.0 sacks as a rookie and 13.5 in 2022. Former defensive coordinator Dan Quinn lined him up all over the field looking for mismatches, but it's not yet clear how new DC Mike Zimmer plans to deploy Parsons, or whether the scheme change will have an impact on his numbers. The 25-year-old edge rusher's elite athleticism should allow him to thrive no matter how he's used, however. Read Past Outlooks
Opens week as limited participant
Parsons (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Joe Hoyt of AllDLLS.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Todd Archer of ESPN.com reported Wednesday that Parsons is expected to practice in a limited capacity this week while recovering from a high-ankle sprain he sustained in Week 4 against the Giants. If he is listed as a limited practice participant over the next two days, Parsons will likely be tagged as questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles.

2021
Since being selected with the 12th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Parsons has emerged as one of the most dynamic defensive players in the league, racking up 26.5 sacks in his first 33 games for Dallas without even being a full-time pass rusher. Defensive coordinator Dan Quinn sees the value in keeping offenses guessing by lining Parsons up all over the formation and using him in different roles, and while that makes the 24-year-old's ultimate statistical output tough to predict, his main job for the Cowboys will still be to terrorize quarterbacks.

No limitations expected in return
Parsons, who has a chance to return from a four-game absence due to an ankle injury in Sunday's Week 10 matchup against the Eagles, said Wednesday he wouldn't have any restrictions whenever he does suit up, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Parsons practiced Wednesday, as a limited participant, for the first time since suffering a high left-ankle sprain in the fourth quarter of a Week 4 win over the Giants. The talented edge rusher said afterwards he wanted to see how he felt the rest of the week before making a firmer decision on whether he can play against Philadelphia, but he noted "once I'm playing, I'm playing" in reference to how he'd approach his return.
