2025 Fantasy Outlook
Gordon totaled a career-high 75 tackles in 15 games last season, but he failed to intercept a pass for the first time in his career. Still, his physical play and ability to cover the slot earned him a three-year extension in April. Entering his fourth campaign, Gordon is locked into a starting role and could improve his impact plays with more experience. If his ball production increases, he may climb into the low-end IDP starter tier by midseason. Read Past Outlooks

Gordon did not participate in Friday's training camp practice due to a hamstring injury, Adam Jahns of AllCHGO.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon was cleared to practice to open training camp after rehabbing from a soft tissue injury during the offseason. He's now dealing with a new hamstring injury, which jeopardizes his chances of playing in Sunday's preseason opener against the Dolphins. Zah Frazier and Josh Blackwell would be the top candidates to see more snaps at slot corner if Gordon is unable to play.

Gordon was selected in the second round of the 2022 Draft. After struggling in coverage as a rookie, Tyrique Stevenson moved ahead of Gordon on the depth chart last year. Even though the Washington product was the No. 3 cornerback, his snaps dropped. Instead of snap shares of nearly 100 percent in 13 of his 14 appearances in 2022, he fell to 80-plus percent most weeks in 2023. As a result, his tackle total decreased from 71 to 61. Unless Chicago has to deal with injuries, Gordon likely will have a similar role to what he had last season. The third-year pro still should retain a useful scoring floor as an IDP.
After Gordon was taken in the second round of the 2022 Draft, the Bears needed him to be an immediate starter. And he did just that, pacing the team's cornerbacks with 823 snaps in 14 games. Despite missing time due to a pair of injuries, he put up 71 tackles, three interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Considering his performance as a rookie, Gordon will continue to be one of Chicago's top corners moving forward.
The Bears selected Gordon with the 39th pick in this year's draft in the hopes he'll be an immediate-impact player. Across from Jaylon Johnson there's a huge need for solid CB play, and it would be surprising if Gordon wasn't the Week 1 starter. If he's the starter, he has immediate IDP value, especially since it's unlikely any of the depth CBs would be able to push him for a lineup spot.

Extension remains priority
CBChicago Bears
April 7, 2025
Gordon is still a player the Bears intend to work out a contract extension with, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Chicago's coaching overhaul this offseason put a pause on any potential negotiations, but general manager Ryan Poles believes everyone is on the same page about retaining Gordon. "I know Kyler is a guy that we want to be a part of this moving forward. So the timing of [an extension], I'm not sure how that all is going work out, but that is a priority," Poles said earlier this month. The 25-year-old cornerback recorded a career-high 75 tackles over 15 games last season as he heads into the final year of his rookie contract in 2025.
