Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
The third-round rookie out of Miami (Fla.) played in all 17 of the Rams' regular-season games and saw his role evolve through the season, from special teamer to a regular role at free safety by the middle of the 2024 campaign. Kinchens responded with 57 tackles, four interceptions (one pick-six) among six pass defenses and a forced fumble, and he's seemingly earned a starting job alongside Kamren Curl for 2025. Deemed full participant Tuesday
Kinchens (shoulder) was estimated as a full participant in Tuesday's practice walkthrough, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens has been dealing with a shoulder injury since early last week, but he was able to suit up in this past Sunday's win over Indianapolis. After being estimated as a limited practice participant Monday, Kinchens' return to full participation (albeit in a walkthrough) Tuesday suggests that he'll be able to take on his usual starting role Thursday versus San Francisco.

A rough pre-draft process that showcased a lack of athleticism (a 4.65 40 and a small 5-11, 203-pound frame) saw the safety fall to the Rams near the end of the third round. Kinchens ended a three-year college career at Miami with 11 interceptions and has some flexibility as a safety and a cornerback, but he'll likely face an uphill battle for playing time in his rookie year given the Rams' offseason investments in the secondary.
