Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Warner is arguably the most straightforward projection among high-profile linebackers. He has missed one game across his seven-year career and has never had fewer than 118 tackles in a season, while recording between 130 and 137 tackles in his last four campaigns. There's no reason to expect him to slow down in 2025, as he'll remain an every-down player thanks to his excellence in both rush defense and pass coverage. Warner is among the most reliable players at his position. Read Past Outlooks
Tallies eight tackles
Warner recorded eight tackles (six solo) with a forced fumble in Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Warner logged 100 percent of defensive snaps for the third straight game and has at least eight tackles in every contest. He also forced his second fumble of the year, helping to stall a Jacksonville drive late in the third quarter.

Warner is the epitome of stability at the linebacker position, as he's tallied at least 115 tackles in every season of his career and has three straight seasons of at least 130 stops. He has always excelled in coverage in addition to stopping the run, but Warner has taken on additional responsibility as a defender against the pass in the last two seasons. He's managed a combined 21 passes defensed in that span, and he picked off four passes in 2023. That may not be repeatable, but Warner is among the safest projections at linebacker and is a well-rounded source of production.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Closing in on extension
Warner and the 49ers appear to be close to working out a contract extension, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
ANALYSIS
The two sides were reported to be far apart in negotiations last month, but after San Francisco got new deals squared away with tight end George Kittle and quarterback Brock Purdy, locking up the team's top linebacker appears to be the next order of business. Warner has two years left on his current contract but no guaranteed money, so an extension would provide the 28-year-old with additional security while lowering his cap hit for the Niners. A new deal would likely also make Warner the league's highest-paid linebacker, with an AAV that tops the $20 million per season Roquan Smith got from the Bears in 2023.
