Two tackles vs. Philadelphia
CBGreen Bay Packers
September 9, 2024
Stokes finished Friday's 34-29 loss to the Eagles with two tackles (one solo).
ANALYSIS
It was a low tackling output by Stokes, but he did play 65 of the Packers' 76 defensive snaps Friday as the starting corner opposite Jaire Alexander. Stokes has appeared in just 13 regular-season games over the past three years after appearing in 16 contests in his rookie season in 2021. The 25-year-old corner is looking to make an impact in Green Bay's secondary and earn a hefty contract after his fifth-year option was declined in May.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
2021
It was not an ideal sophomore season for Stokes, who was not as effective as he was as a rookie and missed the last eight games of the campaign due to injury. He is still working his way back, and it remains to be seen if he will be ready for Week 1.
Some raised an eyebrow when the Packers selected Stokes at the end of the first round last year, but no one was doing that by the end of his impressive rookie year. The Packers needed Stokes to step up with Jaire Alexander missing most of the season, and he wound up starting 14 of 16 games while grading out as one of the better coverage corners in the league. Although he had just one interception, he did register 14 pass deflections over 16 games. Stokes is slated to start opposite Alexander in 2022, and that duo plus Rasul Douglas could form one of the better cornerback trios in the league.
Speed is the name of the game for Stokes, and a 4.31 40-yard dash from his pro day played a big part in the Packers' selecting him 29th overall in April. He isn't guaranteed to open the season as a starter, but he figures to push incumbent Kevin King and could snag the spot opposite Jaire Alexander with a strong showing in camp. One way or another, Stokes should play a key role for the Packers in his rookie year.

Looking to seize starting job
CBGreen Bay Packers
June 26, 2024
Stokes impressed in minicamp and is poised to begin the 2024 season as a starter, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Stokes has been limited to 12 appearances over the last two seasons due to knee, foot and hamstring injuries, but the 2021 first-round draft pick looked healthy and effective during Green Bay's offseason program. The Packers didn't add significant competition at cornerback in the offseason, so Stokes is poised to reclaim a starting job on the outside if he can beat out 2023 seventh-round pick Carrington Valentine, who filled in as a starter last season when Stokes was hurt.
