Lowry was an iron man for the Packers over the first seven years of his career, as he appeared in at least 15 games in each of his seasons in Green Bay. He joined the Vikings for the 2023 campaign and tallied 14 tackles (four solo), a pass defense and a fumble recovery over nine games, but he suffered a season-ending torn pectoral muscle in Week 11 and was released by Minnesota in March. He'll join the Steelers for the 2024 season but could have to settle for a backup role behind Larry Ogunjobi to begin the year.
Lowry will provide the Vikings with a steady presence on the defensive line after signing as a free agent in the offseason. He had just a half sack last year after recording five sacks in 2021, but he notched 12 QB pressures, according to Pro Football Focus. Lowry has graded well as a run blocker in the past, so he could add value even if not compiling useful fantasy stats.
Lowry has been an iron man for the Packers, starting every game the team played over the last three years. The 2021 season may have been the best of his career, as the five sacks he racked up were more than he recorded in any year prior. He is set to start at the left defensive end spot again in 2022.
Lowry signed a multi-year extension prior to last season and started all 16 games at defensive end in the Packers' 3-4 scheme. He set a career high with 47 tackles but failed to record a sack for the first time in his career. He figures to play the same role again in 2020, but the Packers will be hoping he makes a bit more of an impact.
Lowry came into the league as a fourth-round draft pick in 2016, and his role has increased seemingly ever since. After a fine 2018 season in which he set career highs in both tackles and sacks, the Packers signed him to a lucrative three-year selection during the offseason. Lowry has started just 19 of the 47 games he has appeared in his career, but he will head into Week 1 this year with a starting spot in hand.
Lowry started 11 games for the Packers a year ago, but he will move into a reserve role this season with Muhammad Wilkerson joining the club. The Packers like to rotate their defensive lineman, though, so he should still occupy a key spot in the rotation.
The Packers' fourth-round pick in this year's draft, Lowry enters the league as a relentless presence along the defensive line, though one that lacks distinguishable speed. He is unlikely to see extended playing time during his rookie season, though, and will serve as a depth option at defensive end behind the likes of Mike Daniels, Mike Pennel and first-round pick Kenny Clark.
