2024 Fantasy Outlook
Slay agreed to remain in Philadelphia on a restructured contract last offseason after briefly appearing to be headed elsewhere. Knee issues limited the 11-year veteran to 12 games, the fewest of his career, but he nonetheless recorded 57 tackles, his most since 2020. He also picked off a pair of passes, taking one to the house. He lines up to start at corner again for the Eagles this season, but much will depend on whether his health holds up in his age-33 season, as he also dealt with a reportedly minor back injury in the wild-card game. Paces team in tackles Week 4
Slay recorded nine tackles (seven solo) and notched a defensed pass in Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay.
ANALYSIS
Slay's nine stops were a season high -- in fact, over the first three weeks of the campaign he registered a total of 10 tackles. The veteran cornerback's single-season career best in stops is 61, which he established in 2014 while with Detroit. Slay also has two pass defenses and a forced fumble through four contests this season.

Slay briefly appeared to be headed elsewhere in March, but the Eagles elected to bring him back on a two-year, $42 million extension, so his 11th year as a professional will be his fourth in midnight green. His veteran presence will be key for a team that lost its five leading tacklers this offseason. Slay finished sixth with 55 tackles last season and picked off three passes, the latter of which matched the second-best mark of his career. He'll remain a starting cornerback opposite James Bradberry for his age-33 campaign.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Feeling great ahead of postseason
Slay said Thursday his knee feels "a thousand times better" than prior to the December procedure he underwent on it, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran cornerback and the rest of the Eagles' secondary had their fair share of struggles this past regular season, but Slay can at least partly blame his knee injury. Following a four-game absence to close out the campaign after mid-December arthroscopic surgery, Slay is apparently back to full health and was able to practice without restrictions both Thursday and Friday ahead of Monday night's wild-card matchup against the Buccaneers.
