2025 Fantasy Outlook
Benford emerged as one of the league's better cornerbacks in 2024, racking up a career-high 64 tackles, including 1.0 sacks (the first of his NFL career), plus 10 passes defensed, including two interceptions, and two forced fumbles. Injuries limited him to 15 regular-season appearances, and he was forced out of the Bills' AFC Championship Game loss to the Chiefs early due to a concussion, but availability hasn't been a recurrent issue for Benford over the last two seasons. Benford seems primed to be joined at outside cornerback by rookie first-rounder Maxwell Hairston. Read Past Outlooks
Scores two defensive TDs in 2025
Benford logged 43 tackles (32 solo), including 2.0 sacks, four pass defenses (one interception and a pick-six), one fumble recovery and a scoop-and-score across 14 regular-season games in 2025.
ANALYSIS
Benford got off to a nice start with at least four tackles in each of the first five games of the regular season, but he failed to record more than three stops in each of his last nine games. He scored the first touchdown of his four-year NFL career with a scoop-and-score against the Steelers in Week 13, and he followed that up with a 63-yard pick-six one week later in a win against the Bengals. Benford has posted two interceptions in each of the last three years, and he'll continue to operate as a key piece in the Bills' secondary after signing a four-year, $72 million contract extension with Buffalo in March.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Benford, who was a sixth-round pick in 2022, took a big step forward in his second year in Buffalo. This coming season, the Villanova product - who recorded 54 tackles, two forced fumbles, two interceptions and 10 passes defended in 2023 - is projected to start at cornerback opposite Rasul Douglas. In that context, Benford looks like a young player on the rise who could provide sleeper value in IDP leagues.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Sitting out divisional-round game
Benford has been ruled out for Sunday's divisional-round matchup against the Chiefs due to a knee injury, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Benford's absence is one of several injury-related issues the Bills defense is dealing with going into the matchup against a quarterback in Patrick Mahomes who has bedeviled them in the postseason thus far in his career. In addition to being without Benford, who recorded 54 tackles, two interceptions, eight additional defensed passes and two forced fumbles across 15 regular-season games, Buffalo will also be managing the absence of key reserve safety Taylor Rapp due to a calf injury and has listed the cornerback duo of Taron Johnson and Rasul Douglas as questionable due to a concussion and a knee injury, respectively.
