2024 Fantasy Outlook
Flott grew into a larger role in 2023, his second NFL campaign, and appears set to move into a starting position at cornerback opposite Deonte Banks in 2024. While Flott played largely in the slot in his first two NFL seasons, he could thrive with the move to the outside, as it could play up to his speed and agility while reducing his need to work as a run defender, which has so far been a weakness. Flott is still relatively unproven, however, so he could be on a short leash if he struggles early. Read Past Outlooks
Past groin issue
Flott (groin) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Commanders, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Flott logged a week of limited practice sessions after missing the Giants' Week 8 loss to the Steelers due to a groin issue. Expect the third-year pro to serve as the Giants' No. 3 outside cornerback behind both Deonte Banks and Nick McCloud in Week 9 now that he's returned to full health.

The Buccaneers need to get the ball to Mike Evans, and it's not obvious what the Giants defense can do to stop it.
Justin Jefferson will almost certainly have a big game Sunday, and the Colts pass defense is weak enough for Jordan Addison to get rolling in the same game.
With Tua Tagovailoa back in the lineup Jaylen Waddle should get rolling against Arizona, and the same is true of Tyreek Hill if he plays through his foot injury.
2023 Fantasy Outlook
Flott missed six games (mostly due to a calf injury) as a rookie, yet he looked like a competent NFL defensive back when healthy. He was solid in coverage but struggled at times to make tackles, which he attempted to address by adding some muscle during the offseason. Flott is expected to have the upper hand in a training camp battle with Darnay Holmes for a starting role at the slot corner position.
