2024 Fantasy Outlook
Barmore finished the 2023 regular season with 64 tackles to go along with a team-high 8.5 sacks in 17 games for the Patriots. Keeping the 2021 second-rounder around for the long haul was clearly a priority for the team's current brass, and the 24-year-old landed a four-year, $92 million extension with the team in April. When available, Barmore is in line to reprise his role as a key interior lineman for the team, however the defensive tackle was diagnosed with blood clots in July and as a result is sidelined indefinitely as the 2024 campaign approaches. The Patriots are reportedly bracing for the possibility that Barmore, who is on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list while being treated for blood clots, might not play this coming season, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Per Fowler, the team won't rush Barmore back, so the defensive tackle will continue to focus on his recovery and remain sidelined indefinitely. In his absence, the Patriots are expected to lean more heavily on interior linemen Davon Godchaux and Jeremiah Pharms, Adam London of NESN reports.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2021
Barmore is coming off a campaign in which he notched 23 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 10 games with the Patriots. This coming season, the 2021 second-rounder figures to continue to make his presence felt on the team's defensive line (alongside Davon Godchaux, Deatrich Wise and Lawrence Guy) as an interior pass-rusher.
Taken by the Patriots 38th overall, Barmore was the first defensive tackle off the board in a weak 2021 tackle class, but in terms of raw talent, he was worth an earlier selection. Barmore (6-foot-4, 310 pounds) is particularly athletic for his size, as his 4.98-second 40 time would be a strong mark even for a much smaller player. Questions about his motor might have informed his fall to this point in the draft, but the talent isn't in any serious question.
