Bucky Irving

Irving is a skilled player, both as a runner and receiver, and he was highly productive at both Minnesota and Oregon. The question of his NFL viability is less certain, as Irving tumbled to the fourth round of the 2024 Draft after posting disappointing numbers at the combine. Fellow former Pac-12 back Myles Gaskin could be a cautionary tale -- Gaskin was an exceptionally productive four-year player at Washington, yet in the NFL a lack of power and speed has caught up to him. Following a 4.55-second 40 time at 192 pounds, Irving heads to the NFL with some of the same concerns. He's unlikely to challenge incumbent starter Rachaad White in any meaningful way, but Irving could earn a change-of-pace role in an offense that otherwise lacks backfield talent. Read Past Outlooks
