2025 Fantasy Outlook
Tuten (5-foot-9, 206 pounds) is one of the fastest running backs in the league (4.32 40) and a threat to make defenses pay the long-distance price for poor containment -- but so is Travis Etienne. The difference to Jacksonville is that Etienne is on the last year of his rookie contract, while Tuten, a rookie fourth-round pick, is probably somewhat raw for now. Taking whatever Etienne can give this year before moving to Tuten beyond 2025 is a reasonable plan. To take on a leading role, Tuten will need to significantly improve his ball security and passing-down skills from what he showed at Virginia Tech. Fellow Jacksonville runner Tank Bigsby fumbles too much, yet Tuten's collegiate fumbling in comparison was magnitudes worse. Tuten fumbled 10 times on 428 touches the past two years, and if he keeps coughing it up at anything similar to that rate, he simply will not play. On the other hand, Etienne and Bigsby are vulnerable to competition if Tuten can improve his ball security and become more than just a size-speed freak. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Carries thrice in NFL debut
Tuten had three carries for 11 yards and returned one kickoff for 12 yards during Sunday's 26-10 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
The rookie fourth-round pick finished fourth among Jacksonville's tailbacks with just four offensive snaps, though he still garnered three carries in the blowout. Both Tuten and rookie seventh-rounder LeQuint Allen had minimal roles in the season opener, but the No. 2 job is wide open after the Jaguars traded Tank Bigsby to the Eagles on Monday. Travis Etienne is locked in as the starter after posting 156 yards from scrimmage Week 1, but Tuten and Allen are now positioned to compete for the backup job.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Ball security remains an issue
Tuten has had issues with ball security in offseason work, per Kevin Patra of NFL.com.
ANALYSIS
Ball security was also the speedy Tuten's Achilles heel at Virginia Tech, where he had 10 fumbles on 428 touches over the past two years. Patra believes Tuten could emerge as the top option in Jacksonville's backfield by midseason over Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby if Tuten solves his fumbling issues, but the rookie fourth-round pick has a long way to go in improving that aspect of his game.
