Best NFL PrizePicks Plays for Monday Night Football
Best PrizePicks Picks current as of 8:15 AM ET Monday.
CeeDee Lamb 83.5 Receiving Yards (MORE)
On this week's edition of Monday Night Football we have a matchup of two teams that run zone coverage as much or more than anyone, with the Raiders utilizing it a league-leading 85 percent of the time and the Cowboys ranking sixth at 78 percent.
We can use this to really decipher who we want to roll with in the passing-game perspective, and for me it's guys who have great chemistry with their quarterbacks like Lamb and the next player on the list. This season Lamb has 21 receptions for 304 yards and his lone touchdown when facing zone, compared to 14 catches for 189 yards against man coverage.
When watching Cowboys games, the eye test indicates that despite Lamb being an elite receiver when it comes to separation, he and quarterback Dak Prescott function way more effectively when finding soft spots in zones and working off play-action.
Tyler Lockett 1.5 Receptions (MORE)
No longer possessing the separation skills he did in his younger days, Lockett unsurprisingly fares better against zone coverage. Lockett took on a larger workload last week after the Raiders traded Jakobi Meyers, and he was on the field for 57 percent of the snaps while recording a team-high six targets. Lockett and quarerback Geno Smith are giving off major Aaron Rodgers / Randall Cobb vibes, and I want to pounce against a Cowboys defense that predominantly runs zone.
Ashton Jeanty 62.5 Rushing Yards (LESS)
I promise I'm not doing this simply because I did the same with TreVeyon Henderson on Thursday. It's just there are very valid points that I think you will agree with.
The Dallas defense has been the target of frequent jokes, and for good reason, as they rank near the bottom of the league in every defensive category. However, reinforcements are on the way and are set to be deployed Monday night. The defensive line will get a boost from trade-deadline acquisition Quinnen Williams, who is among the league's elite run-stopping defensive tackles and will pair with Kenny Clark to give the Cowboys one of the top interior tandems in the league.
Games are won in the trenches, and in addition to adding Williams, Dallas is also set to get back DeMarvion Overshown, who was rated as a top-10 linebacker by Pro Football Focus last season before tearing his ACL.
When you add those players and the fact Las Vegas has one of the weakest offensive lines in the league, it could be tough for Jeanty to find his footing Monday night.
