An electrifying battle is in the cards as the Sydney Sixers take on the Sydney Thunder in the much-awaited Sydney derby at the SCG on Saturday. The Thunder have some work to do in this game as they need a victory to stay in contention for a playoff spot. The Sixers, on the other hand, are in a better position being placed at third on the points table with 14 points to the their name. However, they can't afford to lose focus as they still need to win one out of their remaining two games in order to ensure a semifinal spot. Both teams have some really good all-rounders and it would be fascinating to see them battling out in the middle.
Weather and Pitch conditions: The pitch at SCG mostly aids the spinners but they might find it difficult to grip the ball tomorrow as light showers are expected during the game. It likely won't have any effect on the result on the game, but the match may get shortened.
Player Recommendations:
Wicket-keeper: Josh Philippe (8.5 Cr)
The Sixers keeper-batsman showed a lot of promise batting at No 6 during the initial part of the season. He was promoted to open subsequently and repaid the faith of the team management with an unbeaten knock of 86 in a successful run chase. He has 243 runs to his name at an average of 34.71 in the tournament thus far.
Batsman: Callum Ferguson (9 Cr)
He is probably in the T20

Batsman: Callum Ferguson (9 Cr)
He is probably in the T20 form of his life. Ferguson is the highest run scorer for the Thunder this season with 369 runs to his name. Those runs include a century and a fifty as well and he is looks all set to continue his rich vein of form.
All-Rounder: Daniel Sams (9.5 Cr)
The Thunder all-rounder has played some very useful cameos batting at No. 5 and 6 for his team. Moreover, he is their highest wicket taker in the season as well with 15 wickets at an average of 19.66.
Bowler: Sean Abbott (9 Cr)
Abbott is the third highest wicket taker of the season so far with 18 wickets at an average of 19.44. His variations and change ups fox the batsmen more often than not and he has got a terrific bouncer too that climbs on to the batsmen.
Captain: Josh Philippe
Vice-Captain: Daniel Sams
