Opting out of bowl game
Tucker announced Saturday via his personal Instagram account that he'll opt out of Syracuse's Dec. 29 Pinstripe Bowl matchup with Minnesota to begin preparations for the 2023 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
Tucker will officially call an end to a prolific three-year career at Syracuse that featured two seasons in which he rushed for at least 1,000 yards. He took a step back in terms of efficiency as a junior, dropping from 6.1 yards per carry in 2021 to 5.1 in 2022, but he stepped up his involvement in the receiving game. Tucker recorded a career-high 36 receptions for 254 yards and two touchdowns.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Tucker's 2020 freshman season was impressive too, but his sophomore season last year was memorable. Tucker took on a huge volume burden for Syracuse, taking 246 carries in an offense where the second-leading RB had just 17, and he still managed to maintain an explosive rushing average of 6.1 yards per carry. Tucker will be hard-pressed to improve on 1,496 yards and 12 touchdowns in 12 games, but even if he regresses slightly he would still likely finish the 2022 season as one of the nation's most productive running backs.
