2025 Receiving Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
One of the more highly-regarded wideouts in the 2024 crop of freshman receivers, Williams didn't disappoint in his first season with the Tide. He's a true vertical threat and was consistently used as such, hauling in eight passes 20 or more yards down the field that went for a combined 434 yards and five touchdowns, accounting for more than half of his total yardage (865) and touchdowns (eight) on the season. Williams did have seven drops on the season, including three of them on deep balls, but he also was only able to link up with Jalen Milroe on 32.0 percent of his deep targets and 45.8 percent of his targets between 10 and 19 yards. Milroe has departed for the NFL, and it's a new era in the Alabama regime, with a more traditional quarterback expected to be under center, likely in the form of Ty Simpson, who was the frontrunner for the job after spring practice. Simpson should represent and upgrade at the starting quarterback position from a passing standpoint, which should help Williams best his numbers from a season ago by a sizable margin in an offense that should inch closer to the form we saw in the late days of Kalen Deboer's tenure with Michael Penix under center and Rome Odunze and Jalen McMillan putting up big numbers out wide. Good to go vs. Vols
Williams (undisclosed) isn't listed on Alabama's injury report ahead of the Crimson Tide's tilt with Tennessee.
ANALYSIS
Williams was reportedly not 100 percent healthy against Missouri on Saturday, which accounts for his limited workload (just one target in the win). This is great news for Alabama and its offense, as Williams' avoids a designation entirely here, meaning there's no doubt about his status for the Third Saturday of October - the star wideout will be available. Williams has 21 grabs for 336 yards and three touchdowns this season.

Not 100 percent healthy
Williams (undisclosed) wasn't 100 percent healthy and that's why he didn't handle his regular workload against Missouri on Saturday, head coach Kalen DeBoer told Blake Byler of On3.com. "Just something that carried over from last week's game. Earlier in the game last week, took a hit," DeBoer said. "Just hobbled. He didn't get to practice as much this week, that's why he was on the report, which makes it a little harder to get him out there. Especially when you have confidence in the other guys to make plays. I haven't gotten the report, exactly, how he got through. I know he was out there and did help us. I would expect him to continue to make progress, he's not that far away."
