2025 Fantasy Outlook
Royer had a record-breaking season in 2024 with 50 receptions, eclipsing Travis Kelce's school-record 45 grabs during the 2012 season. For the breakout performance, he was named to the First-Team All-Big 12. He enters the 2025 season as a legitimate NFL Draft prospect after transferring to Cincinnati from Ohio State last year. Royer's strong catch radius puts him in a security blanket type of role for returning QB Brendan Sorsby. Royer is the top returning receiver for the Bearcats and is expected to be the highest producing target on a weekly basis. He might fly under the radar in some circles, but he's certainly squarely on the fantasy radar and has the upside to finish as one of the best tight ends in the nation. Read Past Outlooks

Royer caught all three targets for 23 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 70-0 victory versus Northwestern State.
ANALYSIS
Royer only had three targets in Saturday's win, but he caught all of them and found the end zone twice. Although he only has 10 targets through three games, Royer has had a fairly strong start to the season with eight catches for 138 yards and two scores. His volume is slightly down compared to last season but his efficiency is up, so if Brendan Sorsby starts looking his way a little bit more Royer could be in for an even better season than 2024.
