Haynes King

King returns for his third year at Georgia Tech, having firmly established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the ACC. Last season, his passing numbers declined significantly, but his efficiency and ability to take care of the football increased dramatically as well. He also missed some time and dealt with arm injuries that hindered his ability to throw the rock. Under offensive coordinator Buster Falkner, a run-heavy play-caller who uses King's legs to the fullest extent, the quarterback accounted for 2,114 yards, 14 touchdowns and just two interceptions through the air while also notching 587 yards and 11 scores on the ground. He also completed nearly 73 percent of his passes. With the Yellow Jackets returning the same staff that's allowed King to thrive as a premier dual-threat quarterback, in addition to starting tailback Jamal Haynes (944 yards, 5.6 yards-per-carry last season), King should once again be an efficient dual-threat gunslinger. He may not light up the stat sheet each and every Saturday, but his legs stress defenses - and allow him to score fantasy points - in many ways, and his passing stats should return to an extent if he can stay healthy.
