Zevi Eckhaus News: Frontrunner for QB1

Eckhaus is the likely frontrunner for Washington State's starting quarterback, Greg Woods of The Spokane Spokesman-Review reports.

Eckhaus was edged out by John Mateer in the Cougars' 2024 starting quarterback competition, but he'll now head into the last two weeks of training camp as the favorite. Head coach Jimmy Rogers did say that he wouldn't announce the starter until before the team's season opener on Aug. 30, but Eckhaus looks to have the upper hand before this announcement is made.
