Lincoln Kienholz News: No decision on QB1 yet

Kienholz is competing with Julian Sayin for the QB1 role ahead of the season opener against Texas on Aug. 30, Joe Reedy of the Killeen Daily Herald reports.

Even though Sayin could have a slight edge in the race to start under center in the opener against Texas on Aug. 30, head coach Ryan Day acknowledged that both signal-callers have shown progress throughout the first week of preseason practices, so he hasn't made a decision yet. Kienholz completed 10 of 22 passes for 111 yards in three appearances for the Buckeyes during the 2024 season.
