Despite playing in a much slower-paced offense than he did with Florida Atlantic in his first three collegiate seasons, Boyd has thrived as the primary point guard for San Diego State, posting career highs in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals through 13 games to start the 2024-25 campaign. His 16 points led a balanced scoring attack in the lopsided victory, but he and the Aztecs will face a much tougher test at New Mexico on Saturday.
