2025 Fantasy Outlook
Oubre made the most of his opportunities during the 2024-25 season, playing a career-high 34.6 minutes per game. Both Paul George and Joel Embiid missed a significant portion of the season due to injuries, allowing Oubre to step into a larger role than anticipated. A knee injury cost him the final 17 games of the season, a decision that was likely made easier by the fact that the 76ers had nothing to play for down the stretch. With averages of 15.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.2 three-pointers, Oubre did his best to convince everyone that he should be a meaningful part of the rotation, even when the team is healthy. Coming into the 2025-26 season, the hope is that George and Embiid will be able to suit up more frequently, something that would undoubtedly impact Oubre. Jared McCain is also fully recovered from his knee injury, while VJ Edgecombe also figures to throw his hat in the ring for minutes. All of this makes Oubre's role a little tentative, meaning his numbers from the previous season may not be replicable. Read Past Outlooks
Remaining out vs. Toronto
Oubre (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Oubre will miss his second consecutive contest due to an LCL sprain in his left knee he sustained during Friday's loss to Detroit. With the veteran forward and Paul George (knee) both sidelined, Justin Edwards and Jabari Walker are candidates for increased minutes. Oubre's next opportunity to play will come Thursday against the Bucks.

Once again, Oubre quietly put together a somewhat productive campaign, ending the 2023-24 season as the 132nd-ranked player in standard fantasy formats. As per usual, his overall value was built on his ability to score the basketball while chipping in serviceable numbers on the defensive end. When the dust settled, he finished with averages of 15.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 three-pointers and 1.8 combined steals and blocks. Heading into the 2024-25 season, Oubre may very well find himself in the starting lineup come Opening Night. On paper, this may lead us to believe he could at least replicate what he did last season. However, the addition of Paul George likely shifts Oubre down the offensive pecking order, behind not only George but also Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. In fact, an argument could be made that Oubre's fantasy appeal would look a little tastier if he came off the bench, playing as the primary offensive option with the second unit. Points are typically hard to come by later in drafts, making Oubre a viable target in the last or second-to-last round. Should any of those ahead of him miss time due to injury, and let's be honest, Embiid fits that bill, Oubre would likely get a short-term bump.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Praised from head coach
The Sixers' head coach, Nick Nurse, praised Oubre's play after the win over the Raptors on Saturday, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer. "I think Kelly has been really outstanding," Nurse said. "You saw him. he was fighting Brandon Ingram most of the night. He's done that consistently, where he's got one of the better scorers in the league or the other team and keeps working and working. He's been really good and done a good job of playing physical."
ANALYSIS
Oubre is expected to return to the bench once Paul George, who's set to return to the lineup in the near future as soon as he's fully recovered from his knee injury, is cleared to play. However, according to Pompey, Oubre has been playing too well to be demoted to a second-unit role. The fact that Nurse praised him certainly boosts his chances of staying on the first unit, though that complicates Nurse's decision with respect to George's return.
