2025 Fantasy Outlook
After being a top option for two-plus years in Brooklyn, Johnson was swapped with fellow sharpshooter Michael Porter this offseason. Johnson wasn't Denver's only acquisition this offseason, as the Nuggets also replaced Russell Westbrook with Tim Hardaway and Bruce Brown. Johnson has never been durable, suiting up in more than 60 regular-season games only once in his six-year career (2021-22), which has hurt his overall fantasy value. However, his elite three-point shooting, at least 39 percent in five of six seasons and a career-high 7.2 attempts per game last season, has still made him worth rostering. Johnson also posted a career-high 3.4 assists per game in 2023-24 and has averaged at least 4.0 rebounds a night in four straight campaigns. Playing alongside Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic, Johnson's usage rate will likely take a hit. However, he's a smart player who moves the ball well and hits open shots, so expecting a major drop in production due to his change of scenery is a bit dramatic. Johnson should be on radars after pick 100, with a slight boost in category leagues due to his strong shooting percentages. Read Past Outlooks

Johnson finished well outside the top 100 in standard formats last year, coming off two seasons during which he had been the 54th- and 93rd-ranked player. He continues to be hampered by injuries, playing 58 total games, averaging 13.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.4 three-pointers and 1.1 combined steals and blocks. All in all, it was a season to forget for anyone who drafted Johnson, given he was viewed as a potential top-50 candidate. Fast forward 12 months and the Nets are faced with a bleak short-term future in terms of projected wins. Having traded Mikal Bridges to the Knicks, they are set to undergo a re-tooling, likely seeing them positioned towards the bottom of the standings. However, this could provide Johnson with an opportunity to rejuvenate his value in both fantasy and reality. He should begin the season as the starting power forward on a squad lacking offensive firepower. Outside of Cam Thomas, Johnson could very well be the second option on paper. He is coming into the season healthy, something that should allow him to hit the ground running come Opening Night. Many could be soured by what transpired last year, making him a sneaky target in the final rounds.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Murray talks him up
At Media Day on Monday, Jamal Murray really talked up Johnson's offensive ability, Ryan Blackburn of MileHighSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
"He's all-around. He can shoot, he can dribble a bit better than I thought he could," Murray said. "I think he'll be our leading scorer a lot of nights." Johnson's fit in Denver is certainly exciting, as he'll be supplied a ton of open looks by arguably the best passer in the NBA in Nikola Jokic. Johnson is a career 39.2 percent shooter from beyond the arc and is coming off a campaign in Brooklyn in which he averaged a career-high 18.8 points per game during the regular season.
