The Jazz announced Thursday that Clarkson underwent a medical procedure to address plantar fasciitis in his left foot and will miss the rest of the season while he continues to receive treatment.

Clarkson has been in and out of action for Utah since the All-Star break and had previously missed 10 straight games in January and seven straight games from late November to early December due to flareups of plantar fasciitis, so he went under the knife with the hope of providing more permanent relief for the injury. He'll finish the 2024-25 season having appeared in just 37 games, during he averaged 16.2 points, 3.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 three-pointers in 26.0 minutes per contest while shooting a career-low 40.8 percent from the field. Clarkson will be entering the final season of a two-year, $28.38 million contract extension in 2025-26.
