The Bucks announced Tuesday that Lillard has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in his right calf and will be sidelined indefinitely, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.

Lillard had missed the Bucks' last three games due to a right calf strain, but further testing revealed a blood clot. The veteran point guard has taken blood-thinning medication, which has stabilized the clot, and he'll now go through a "weekly process of strict criteria to ensure that it is safe for him to return to play," according to a statement from the team. According to Nehm, the Bucks remain optimistic that Lillard will play again this season, but given the serious nature of his medical situation, it may take a deep playoff run before he's ready to suit up again. If Lillard ends up missing the rest of the regular season, he'll finish with averages of 24.9 points, 7.1 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 3.4 three-pointers and 1.2 steals across 36.1 minutes per game in 58 appearances. Ryan Rollins and Kevin Porter will likely continue to share the minutes at point guard while Lillard is out indefinitely.
