Timberwolves Hold On To Avoid Elimination
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the host Dallas Mavericks, 105-100, in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals at American Airlines Center on Tuesday evening.

The Timberwolves jumped out to a strong start and led, 27-20, after one quarter. The Mavs turned up their play in the second and rallied to tie the game at 49, heading into the break. The hosts grabbed the edge early in the third, but the Timberwolves closed the quarter on an 8-4 run to take a five-point advantage into the final frame. The Mavs kept it close in the fourth, but the Timberwolves came up clutch down the stretch to hold on for the critical win and keep their season alive.

Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 29 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, in 40 minutes. Karl-Anthony Towns followed up with 25 points and five rebounds, while Rudy Gobert totaled 13 points, 10 rebounds and a block.

Meanwhile, Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 28 points, 15 rebounds, 10 assists and a steal, in 41 minutes. Kyrie Irving followed up with 16 points, two rebounds, four assists and a steal, while Daniel Gafford finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, a steal and three blocks.

Game 5 is scheduled for Thursday in Minnesota.
