Lakers Defeat Pacers, 123-109, Win In-Season Tourney Championship
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Indiana Pacers, 123-109, in the NBA In-Season Tournament Championship at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday.

The Lakers kickstarted this game with a 20-13 run and never relinquished the lead after that. With that said, LA led just 102-99 with six minutes remaining but finished the game on a 21-10 run to close out their victory. That helped them outscore the Pacers in the fourth quarter, 33-27, despite never leading by more than 11 points until the final minutes. Los Angeles dominated Indiana down low, out-rebounding Indiana, 70-43, while outscoring them in the paint, 86-44. The Lakers shot 53 percent from the field while holding the Pacers to 37 percent shooting.

The Pacers (12-8) were led by Tyrese Haliburton, tallying 20 points and 11 assists. Obi Toppin amassed 13 points and two rebounds. Myles Turner totaled 10 points and seven boards. Buddy Hield had eight points, five rebounds and four assists, while Bennedict Mathurin led the bench with 20 points and two rebounds. TJ McConnell collected eight points, four rebounds, nine assists and three steals.

The Lakers (14-9) were led by Anthony Davis, finishing with 41 points, 20 rebounds, five assists and four blocks. LeBron James provided 24 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals. D'Angelo Russell registered 13 points, four rebounds and seven assists, while Austin Reaves led the bench with 28 points, two rebounds and three assists,

Los Angeles is the first winner of the NBA In-Season Tournament. On deck for Indiana is a road matchup with the Detroit Pistons on Monday. As for LA, they travel to play the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday for their next outing.
