Antetokounmpo, Lillard combine for 76 points in win over Pistons
The Milwaukee Bucks took down the Detroit Pistons, 141-135, at Little Caesars Arena on Saturday.

The Pistons (4-38) won the first quarter, 38-34, and extended that lead to as much as nine in the second frame. However, the Bucks (29-13) closed out the first half on a 9-2 run to lead by three points. Milwaukee were able to hold off Detroit from making a run in the third quarter, but the Pistons battled their way back to take the lead in the fourth. Down the stretch, the Bucks were able to pull away thanks to timely buckets and free throws from Damian Lillard as the team improved to 10-9 on the road, while the Pistons dropped to 2-19 at home. Although Detroit shot better from three-point range (21-for-37 vs. 12-for-32), Milwaukee shot better from the field (55.3 percent vs. 46.8 percent) and hit nine more free throws.

Lillard led the Bucks with a season-high 45 points, six rebounds and 11 assists for his seventh double-double of the year. Giannis Antetokounmpo totalled 31 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and two steals for his 31st double-double of the season. Brook Lopez added 19 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocks for his first double-double of the year. Khris Middleton contributed 17 points, five rebounds, four assists and three blocks. Malik Beasley added 11 points and two rebounds, while Pat Connaughton chipped in 10 points and four rebounds off the bench.

Alec Burks led the Pistons off the bench with 33 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Ausar Thompson tallied 22 points and nine rebounds in reserve. Bojan Bogdanovic led the starters with 19 points and two assists, while Jaden Ivey had 18 points, six rebounds and six assists. Mike Muscala made all four of his shot attempts and finished with 13 points off the pine.

The Bucks and Pistons will face off in a rematch Friday, in what will be the last game between the two teams for the 2023-24 season.
