Rockets Skate By Pistons, 112-110
The Houston Rockets defeated the Detroit Pistons, 112-110, at Little Caesars Arena on Friday night.

The Pistons (19-18) got more than they likely bargained for early against the Pistons (3-36), which held a 30-23 lead after one. Houston was able to make up its deficit in the second quarter, however, but Detroit countered by forging a three-point advantage heading into the final period. That set up a nip-and-tuck fourth quarter, one that featured multiple ties and lead changes before the visitors managed a late 10-0 run that offered just enough cushion for the two-point victory.

Alperen Sengun led the Rockets with 29 points, complementing them with six rebounds, one assist and one steal. Jalen Green delivered 28 points, four boards, three assists, two steals and one block. Fred VanVleet generated a 20-point, 12-assist double-double that included four rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Jabari Smith posted 19 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal.

Kevin Knox and Alec Burks co-led the Pistons with 19 points apiece, with Knox adding seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal. Jaden Ivey delivered 18 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and one block. Isaiah Stewart supplied 16 points, seven boards and one assist. Jalen Duren registered 15 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. Marvin Bagley finished with 11 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal.

The Rockets remain on the road and visit the Boston Celtics on Saturday night, while the Pistons hit the road and tangle with the Washington Wizards on Monday afternoon.
