Mavericks Outscore Pelicans, 136-124
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the New Orleans Pelicans, 136-124, at Smoothie King Center on Sunday night.

The Mavericks' (8-2) considerable offensive firepower has been on display several times early in the new season, and it helped carry Dallas to a double-digit road victory Sunday night. They then squashed any hopes of a second-half resurgence for the Pelicans (4-6) by outscoring their hosts, 42-31, in the third quarter.
