Hornets Defeat Jazz, 115-107
The Charlotte Hornets defeated the host Utah Jazz, 115-107, at Vivint Arena on Thursday.

The last time Charlotte won in Utah was in 2006 when they were called the Bobcats, snapping a 16-game losing streak against the Jazz. A 34-26 first quarter set the foundation for the upset win, closing things with a 30-17 fourth quarter. The Hornets shot 48 percent from three-point range (20-of-42) while holding the Jazz to 23 percent from long distance (9-of-39). Charlotte recorded 11 steals to Utah's three, winning the turnover battle, 19-9. There were five ties and six lead changes, with neither team leading by more than 10 points.

The Hornets (14-41) were led by Miles Bridges, finishing with 26 points, 14 rebounds and four assists. Brandon Miller amassed 16 points, three rebounds, five assists and four steals. Tre Mann tallied 13 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals, while Nick Richards registered eight points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Grant Williams led the bench with 24 points and two assists.

The Jazz (26-31) were led by Lauri Markkanen, collecting 21 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Collin Sexton compiled 17 points, two rebounds and five assists. Keyonte George generated 16 points, three rebounds and five assists, while John Collins had nine points, 18 rebounds and two blocks. Jordan Clarkson led the bench with 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Charlotte plays again on Friday, staying on the road to play the Golden State Warriors. As for Utah, they remain home to play the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday for their next fixture.
