Heat Earn Series-Opener Win Over Knicks
The Miami Heat defeated the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Sunday.

The Miami Heat kept rolling after eliminating the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round and came from behind to defeat the New York Knicks in the series opener. New York enjoyed a solid start to the game and won the first quarter by a 32-21 score. However, the Heat showed signs of life in the second quarter and reduced the deficit to just five points following a 29-23 score. The Heat kept it going and turned things around with a 31-20 score in the third quarter, generating a six-point lead with just 12 minutes left. Miami closed the game out with a 27-26 score and secured a massive upset against the Knicks in the season opener.

Jimmy Butler led the way for the Heat with 25 points and 11 rebounds in Game 1. Gabe Vincent recorded 20 points and five assists. Bam Adebayo came close to a double-double and notched 16 points with eight rebounds and two assists. Kevin Love delivered nine points, five rebounds and four dimes. Kyle Lowry notched 18 points, six assists and five rebounds. Caleb Martin had nine points.

R.J. Barrett led the way for the Knicks with 26 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Jalen Brunson had 25 points, seven assists and five boards. Miles Robinson only had seven points and added 14 rebounds. Obi Toppin delivered 18 points and eight rebounds. Josh Hart delivered 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
