Mavs Edge Spurs In San Antonio
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the host San Antonio Spurs, 126-125, at AT&T Center on Saturday evening.

The game got out to a competitive start as the Mavs led 32-30 after one quarter and stayed close through the second, as they increased their advantage to four, by halftime. The visitors picked up momentum in the third and outscored the Spurs, 35-29, to take a 10-point lead into the final frame. The Spurs picked up their play in the fourth and cut it down to a one-point game in the final seconds, but the Mavs came up clutch at the foul line to seal their sixth straight win.

Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 51 points, six rebounds, nine assists, four steals and a block, in 37 minutes. Christian Wood followed up with 25 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a block, while Tim Hardaway added 14 points and three rebounds. The Mavs shot 58 percent from the field, including 14-of-34 from deep.

Meanwhile, Keldon Johnson led the Spurs with 30 points and four rebounds, in 36 minutes. Jeremy Sochan followed up with 20 points, six rebounds, two assists and a steal, while Jakob Poeltl totaled 19 points, 15 rebounds and six assists. The Spurs shot 55 percent from the field, including 8-of-19 from long range.

The Spurs (12-24) will look to bounce back as they take on the Nets in Brooklyn on Monday. The Mavs (21-16) take on the Rockets in Houston on Monday.
