Sixers Rout Pistons For Easy Win
The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Detroit Pistons, 147-116, at Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday.

The 76ers (25-15) finally moved 10 games over the .500 threshold and are reaching the halfway mark of their season on a high note, as they didn’t have problems to defeat a struggling Pistons (11-33) team. Philadelphia quickly established its own terms and raced out to a 27-20 lead following the first quarter, and they’d never relinquish that advantage. A 38-23 score in the second quarter gave the Sixers a 22-point advantage heading into the break, and while the Pistons put up a fight in the second half, it was not enough to sniff a potential comeback. In fact, Philadelphia also won the third quarter by a 42-32 score, and the game was absolutely finished by the time the fourth quarter arrived. Detroit won the final 12 minutes by a 41-40 score, but the Sixers raced out to an easy victory. With the win, Philadelphia moved to 17-6 at home while the Pistons fell to 6-19 on the road.

Joel Embiid was the best player for the Sixers and finished with 36 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks, while James Harden impressed with 16 points, 15 assists and 12 rebounds. Tyrese Maxey also had 16 points, and Tobias Harris delivered 14 points with six boards and three assists. Shake Milton finished with 11 points and seven assists, and Jaden Springer chipped in with 10 points.

Seven Pistons scored in double digits in this loss. Saddiq Bey and Jaden Ivey led the way among the starters with 17 points each, with Bey also adding four rebounds and Ivey dishing out four assists. Kevin Knox II posted 13 points, and Rodney McGruder also had a team-high 17 points despite coming off the bench. Hamidou Diallo had 14 points and eight boards, and Alec Burks posted 16 points. Cory Joseph finished with 10 points and eight dimes.
