Hawks Hold Off Wizards Rally, Secure Win
The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Washington Wizards, 114-107, at Capital One Arena on Friday.

The Hawks (34-33) and the Wizards (31-36) are both vying for a playoff berth, and Atlanta took another step in the right direction with this road win. Washington enjoyed a stronger start, though, and jumped out to a 29-24 lead following the first quarter before Atlanta responded with a 32-21 score in the second quarter. The Hawks held a six-point advantage at the break, and they bolstered that led even more with a 29-25 third-quarter score. The Wizards attempted a comeback in the final 12 minutes, but the 32-29 was not enough to flip the script. The Hawks moved to 16-20 on the road with the win, while the Wizards fell to 15-17 at home.

Deandre Hunter finished with 18 points and seven rebounds, and Dejounte Murray stuffed the stat sheet with 16 points, seven rebounds and seven dimes. Saddiq Bey posted 14 points coming off the bench.
