Hornets Top Hawks With Late Free Throws
The Charlotte Hornets defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 122-118, at StateFarm Arena on Saturday.

The Hornets (13-34) and the Hawks (24-23) played a tight contest that went down to the wire, and it was a game that was only decided in the final stages of the contest, literally. Atlanta looked better in the early going, though, racing out to a 31-25 score in the first quarter and bolstering that lead to 16 points by the halftime arrived. Charlotte looked better in the second half, however, and they reduced the deficit to just eight points with 12 minutes left on the clock. Charlotte kept the momentum going in the final quarter, and while the Hawks were set to win it when Clint Capela made a tip-in from close range, Terry Rozier flipped the script by making three free throws following a shooting foul from Jalen Johnson. Rozier notched the final two points of the game via free throws as well, sending the Hornets to victory in the dying seconds. With the win, the Hornets moved to 8-18 on the road while the Hawks fell to 13-10 at home.
