Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire: 3 Most-Added Players on Yahoo Today (Dec 3)

To climb the fantasy basketball rankings, managers must quickly target players whose roles are elevated by opportunity, often making them strong NBA sleepers. This analysis focuses on today's most-added players, starting with Ryan Nembhard, who is a priority waiver target after his historic 25-point, 10-assist, zero-turnover performance. We also evaluate Spencer Jones, whose 28-point game makes him a hot streamer while filling in for Aaron Gordon's injury. Finally, Jaylon Tyson is a must-add due to his reliable, multi-category production across his last 13 games, proving he's more than a short-term gamble.

Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire

Ryan Nembhard, Mavericks

We covered Nembhard extensively yesterday, so here's the quick version: he just posted a historic 25-point, 10-assist, zero-turnover performance in his third consecutive start for Dallas, a team with a messy point guard rotation desperately needing stability.

Nembhard is a priority add on waivers. His shooting percentages will inevitably regress—Denver was leaving him wide open from the perimeter—but if he gets a consistent 28-32 minutes, that should still generate strong production. Projections suggest roughly 13 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists when his efficiency normalizes, which represents solid backend fantasy value.

The Mavericks' point guard situation remains chaotic, but Nembhard has seized the opportunity and demonstrated he belongs in Dallas' rotation.

Recommendation: Add Nembhard immediately to any streaming spot in 12-team leagues and deeper. However, don't drop a player with cemented long-term value. Nembhard's role could still shift as Dallas figures out their backcourt hierarchy. He's a strong speculative add rather than a guaranteed season-long hold.

Spencer Jones, Nuggets

Jones is coming off a career-high 28 points against the Mavericks, capitalizing on Aaron Gordon's continued absence. He's a capable three-point shooter (despite some unconventional form) and cutter, running similar actions to Gordon across the past three games.

The production looks impressive. Jones is shooting 62% from the field over his past three games for 17.7 points per contest. However, that efficiency is unsustainable and will regress significantly.

Indiana represents a soft matchup today, making Jones a solid streaming option for this specific game. But don't be surprised if he posts something pedestrian like 10 points and 4 rebounds rather than another 28-point explosion. The ceiling game grabbed attention, but his floor is much lower.

Denver has a favorable schedule through Sunday, creating a potential hold opportunity in deep leagues where the waiver wire is barren. The compressed schedule provides volume even if per-game production fluctuates. However, Jones remains far from must-roster status in standard formats.

Recommendation: Jones is an excellent one-game stream against Indiana in 12-team leagues if you need threes and scoring. In 14-team and 16-team formats, consider holding through Sunday based on Denver's schedule. In shallower leagues, he's purely a matchup-dependent streamer—add for today, drop tomorrow.

Jaylon Tyson, Cavaliers

Cleveland will still be missing key players today, making Tyson an excellent streaming option against Portland. Unlike Jones's hot shooting variance, Tyson has demonstrated consistent production over a meaningful sample—averaging 15 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2.2 stocks over his past 13 games.

That 13-game stretch suggests Tyson is providing legitimate, sustainable value rather than a brief hot streak. He's contributing across multiple categories, with the defensive stats being particularly valuable in category leagues. The stocks differentiate him from pure scoring streamers.

Cleveland plays a Friday/Saturday back-to-back, making Tyson a strong hold through the weekend for standard and shallow leagues. Extract value from the compressed schedule before reassessing based on the Cavs' injury situation.

In deep leagues, Tyson should simply be rostered until he slows down significantly or Cleveland gets healthy for a full week or two. The 13-game production sample provides enough confidence that this isn't a mirage.

Recommendation: Add Tyson in 12-team leagues and hold through Cleveland's back-to-back. In 14-team and 16-team formats, he's close to a must-roster until the production or opportunity disappears. His multi-category contributions and consistent 13-game stretch make him more reliable than typical streaming options.
