Returning to St. Louis
Robberse (elbow) signed a minor-league contract with the Cardinals on Monday, which includes an invitation to spring training, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Robberse was added to the Cardinals' 40-man roster last offseason and looked like he might be on the precipice of a major-league promotion after he collected a 1.77 ERA and 35:7 K:BB over 35.2 frames in his first six starts with Triple-A Memphis. However, he then went through a rough patch (7.50 ERA in his next seven starts) before missing two months of action with an elbow problem. Robberse finished the season healthy and might have a shot to debut at some point next season, but a return to Memphis initially is a safe bet. The 23-year-old's fastball lacks velocity and movement, but he at least seems aware of that and has leaned more into his cutter, changeup and slider. Even if Robberse is able to maximize his pitch mix, it's a profile at present that doesn't appear likely to bear fantasy fruit.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Cardinals want to bring him back
The Cardinals would like to re-sign Robberse, who is recovering from Tommy John surgery, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis
Robberse was non-tendered last week as the Cardinals sought to clear a spot on their 40-man roster. However, there is interest in retaining the right-hander on a minor-league contract as he continues his rehab from May 2025 Tommy John surgery. Robberse -- who likely won't be game-ready until at least the second half of the 2026 season -- holds a 4.96 ERA and 139:59 K:BB over 134.1 innings at the Triple-A level.
